Lemonade Stand for charity

I’m very excited to share our super fun Lemonade Stand!!  As you may or may not know, we live on a golf course, the 7th hole, just after the men’s tee box.  It’s a prime location for golfers to stop as they drive their carts by and grab a refreshment.  The last time they had a major tournament, on a whim I made some lemonade and cut up watermelon for my son, Joel, to serve the golfers as they went by.  We were amazed that they were all willing to tip him (and too well for a 3 year old)!!

So, I had an idea to setup a more ‘official’ lemonade stand for the next major tournament and instead of asking for payment, we chose to ask for donations to the Humane Society of Hamilton County.  We invited some of the other kids from the neighborhood, played music, had the sprinkler going and made a great day out of it.  We all had such a blast!!

Our snacks included: lemonade, of course, watermelon, donut holes, brownie bites, Twizzlers, M&Ms, fruit cups and rice krispie pops.

Special thanks to Bird’s Party for the printables she provided to fit our lemonade and watermelon theme!!
